Thousands of tourists visit our beautiful, historic city everyday from all around the world. So we have created the perfect solution for everyone to enjoy their punting tour experience in their own language; the Cambridge Audio Tour App.
How does it work?
With this app, guests can easily access audio tours in several languages.
Currently you can listen to the tour in English, Mandarin and Cantonese to accompany your Cambridge punting experience. More languages are due to be released on the app soon.
The tour starts at our departure point at La Mimosa, at the corner of Jesus Green. If booking with either the Traditional Punting Company or with Let’s Go Punting, then you can download and use the app for free with using a code that we will supply to you.
During the tour, you will see seven historic riverside colleges and 9 bridges. The famous sights include The Bridge of Sighs, Kings College and the Mathematical Bridge, to name a few. While punting along the river, the relevant section of audio will be available for playing. You will hear some interesting and fun information about the beautiful buildings.
About the Traditional Punting Company
For locals and tourists alike, punting has been a quintessential part of Cambridge life since the early 1900s, when the city’s cargo punts were used as pleasure crafts for the first time.
When it comes to choosing a tour operator, you need to know that you are using a company that you can trust. Booking a punt tour is an exciting experience and your tour will create lasting memories. Of course, getting the most from the experience is all about selecting the right service to suit you, and this is where we can help.
Traditional Cambridge Punting
Punting has been a ‘must-do’ experience for over a hundred years. Our traditional private and shared chauffeured tours last for approximately 50 minutes and offer a unique view of Cambridge and its world-famous University. To make this experience special for everyone we have designed an audio tour app in an array of languages.
