If it is just a little rain then do not fret. We have umbrellas and blankets, which means the tours, will go on as planned. However, if it is raining heavily, the tour can be postponed until the skies clear up. Our punt chauffeurs are well trained and they know what to do when its starts raining heavily during the tour. If you do have a ticket when it starts raining, simply let us know and we will be glad to re-organize your trip.

    Can I come now?

Yes, our wide fleet of punt boats means that we have at least one boat leaving every thirty minutes throughout the day. We operate all-year-round, apart from Christmas day. The only time we might not allow our boats out is during times of extreme weather when the safety of our clients might not be guaranteed. However, on just about any other day, you can come and enjoy a trip up-river.

Can I bring my own refreshments or food?

Unlike some other companies that offer punting in Cambridge, we do not insist that our customers should only buy food and drink from us. Even though we do not sell any food, some of our tour packages include visits to local restaurants and pubs. Also you could simply call and let us know what you want and we will avail it on the boat.

Punt decorations are welcome. You could ask as to do it in advance or you could do it yourself if you have an artsy side. You simply need to inform us beforehand.

You simply need to be able to sit down and get back up. Our punt chauffeurs are able bodied men who will help you to board the boat and disembark safely.

    Is there disabled access?

Though we cannot wheel a chair onto a punt boat, our staff can help lift someone into the boat.

We are talking with the council on this matter, and are hoping to be able to provide it for the 2017 punting season.

Are the tours to and fro or can I just go one way?

Normally, the tours are return journeys as this provides sufficient time for sightseeing and learning some facts about the colleges and bridges. However, if you have somewhere else to be simply tell the chauffeur and he will drop you off at the next available opportunity.

Can I do the punting myself?

Yes you can. By booking private tours, you and your group are allowed to use the punt as you like during the duration of your tour. Simply ask the chauffeur and he will give you the pole and some tips on how to do it.
