Time to prepare your New Year’s resolutions’ list
With the arrival of a brand new beginning, we all tend to take a moment to look back and reflect about the previous one. Moreover, we wonder about the decisions we made and about what have we accomplished. As cliché as this might sound, that’s exactly why we all tend to start seeking for new year’s resolutions. Our aim is to be and to do better than before. Therefore, our new year’s resolutions, are just like a list of promises that we make with ourselves, wishing to accomplish them throughout the new year.
Since we take every opportunity as a reminder to motivate ourselves, the new upcoming year, is just one more extraordinary reason to do so. Thus we create resolutions as lists of goals we seek to achieve in the near future. Often related to what will make our egos feel better, such like lose weight, eat healthier, dress nicer, travel further and experience more.
Sum up of New Year’s aspirations:
“New Year, New Me”
Everyone’s idea of such resolutions tend to be focused on the self. For instance, assuming that the new year will be the opportunity of becoming a brand new self. Surely thinking this big about the impact of the new year on us, might not be as pleasant as it seems. Once dreaming too big about real desires, takes huge effort and commitment. Things that somethings we fail to remember.
Therefore, in order to not fail to such resolutions, it seems essential to pick them carefully. Aiming for smaller goals within bigger achievements in mind. By keeping on nailling such little changes, the process of accomplishing these resolutions sounds not only more real as it becomes successful. As a result, more resolutions will inevitably be fulfilled.
“If you focus on results, you will never change. If you focus on change, you will get results.” – Jack Dixon
