Terms and Conditions 

All agreements are made between ‘you’ and the Traditional Punting Company

Payment taken online or over the phone with debit or credit card or bank transfer.

Payment is taken in GBP. For booking more than 2 weeks in advance either full payment or a 30% deposit payment can be made to secure the booking. The balance payment is due 2 weeks before the booking date. For bookings less than 2 weeks in advance full payment is taken to secure the booking.

All bookings are subject to availability.

Traditional Punting Company reserves the right to withdraw a product or package at any given time. In this case any outstanding bookings will be given the choice of an alternative product of equal or higher value or a full refund.

E-tickets are valid for the next available tour. Tours leave every 15-45 minutes depending on demand. during busy periods the next available tour may be over an hours wait.

Due to the historic nature of the river there is limited disabled access. Despite this we aim to accommodate disable customers wherever possible. Please contact us to discuss the options further.

Private Punting: Bookings cancelled more that 48 hours in advance are eligible to a 70% refund or can be rescheduled within the next 6 months. If only a deposit has been taken this will be retained. Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours will not be refunded. Bookings can be re-arranged free of charge with more than 24 hours notice free of charge. For less than 24 hours notice a £15 charge will apply.

E-tickets: E-tickets are valid all day for the date selected (10am – 5pm April – September, 11am – 3pm October – March). They are single use and non refundable. If you are unable to attend on the date booked we can exchange your tickets for another date (charges will apply if a more expensive date is selected).

Late Arrival
For private tours your time and date is pre-booked. As your punt is reserved for a specific time late arrival will result in a reduced tour time. If you know you will be late please contact the Traditional Punting Company on 01223 782306 as it may be possible to reschedule your booking. For E-tickets once you have checked in at the Quayside your tour time is confirmed and late arrival will result in a missed tour.

If you fail to show up for your tour without letting us know no refund or rescheduling will be applicable.

Bad Weather
If you cancel your Private Tour with at least 48 hours notice then you can either reschedule or receive a refund minus the 30% non refundable deposit. If you cancel you Private Tour without providing notice or do not contact us then payment is retained. If you wish to reschedule an additional 30% will need to be paid.

If we cancel your booking then a full refund for your punting tour will be issued.

All under 16’s must be accompanied by a parent or adult in the role of “loco parentis” to go out on a river tour with us.

Online booking confirmation constitutes as your ‘ticket’. Please print out your booking confirmation or be able to show it on a smart phone or tablet at our check in desk. Any purchases made by bank transfer or phone payment will be emailed a confirmation ‘ticket’. Confirmation can be sent via post where specifically requested. In the case of lost confirmations/tickets these can be reissued in advance of the tour date, however you must contact the Traditional Punting Company on 01223 782306 before the date of departure in order for tickets to be reissued.
