Punting in Cambridge in Winter
Winter is a beautiful time of year in the UK. With snow and ice across the fields and the remarkable architecture of the University of Cambridge standing tall in the fog, this is a time of year where all other tours of Cambridge are outshone by our punting tours. With the ability to get up close to famous bridges along the River Cam, and our knowledgeable chauffeurs expertly finding their way through the mist, we can confidently say that winter punting can offer a truly magical and unforgettable experience.
Winter Punting Cambridge
Thanks to the colder weather and the end of the tourist season, winter is usually the quietest time on the river. This makes for a much more serene tour, and allows our punt chauffeurs the space to give you the best experience available. We always advise that our customers wrap up warm, as spending an hour on a punt in midwinter can get rather chilly. We do, of course, provide blankets and cushions to keep you comfortable- and you’re very welcome to bring a hot flask of tea, coffee or hot chocolate on board, too!
